what is a shell?

Shell is a malicious script which enables a hacker to create another control

 panel in a website after getting the admin access for a long time .there are

 many types of shell like c99,c100,symlinking shell etc.

what can u do with a shell ?

Using a shell you root and destroy a web server. Example if a person has got

 the admin access in a site and he rooted that server which is connected to 

100 sites then that 100 sites can be destroyed.You can leak the information 

on a site,you can replace or delete the index page of the site.
