How to know whether the image is edited or not ?

Hi everyone

In this interesting post i will show you how to detect if the image has been edited or not. There is a software named JPEGSnoop which can decode the image and detect whether it has been edited or not ,you can download the tool here (sourceforge link).

After you have downloaded the tool open and run it, at first it will ask for the license agreement check mark it and hit ok, after that you will get a window.

Now drag the image to the window and wait for some time it will generate a report
after that click ctrl+f and find this word "assessment" if it says "Image is processed/edited" then your image has been edited.

You can also find the software name just by searching the name of the software. I have used picasa for this purpose so if i will search for it it will show me the name as shown in the image.

Or you can scroll bit up from the assessment and you can find the signature of the software by which it has been edited .

There is an online tool named Image Error Level Analyzer just follow the instruction written on the site and you will be able to know up to how much the image has been edited .

Here in this image. I have added some texts.

This is the result after using the online app.
